Dane Ships Underpad Production Line
Dane Machinery has completed the factory testing and shipment of a complete underpad production line for an overseas customer. Following final inspection at the factory, the line was carefully packed, loaded and containerized for long-distance ocean transportation.
For complete hygiene product production lines, delivery involves more than placing equipment into a container. Electrical systems, servo components and large machine sections all require appropriate protection and securing throughout transportation. For this shipment, Dane applied a series of measures covering moisture protection, cargo stability, container planning and acceptance control.

Protection Against Moisture, Salt Air and Condensation
Ocean freight creates a demanding environment for precision production equipment, particularly because of humidity, condensation and salt-laden air.
Before shipment, electrical cabinets and servo motors were vacuum-sealed in foil-lined protective bags together with desiccants. The machine sections were then wrapped in heavy-duty waterproof and dust-resistant film and secured to fumigated wooden pallet bases with steel strapping.
All wooden packaging used for the shipment carries IPPC fumigation markings, helping meet destination-port plant quarantine requirements.
These measures are especially important for a production line that combines mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and servo systems. Protecting sensitive components before the container leaves the factory helps reduce unnecessary risks during weeks of ocean transportation.

Stable Loading from the Factory to the Port
Transport protection continues after the equipment is packed.
During truck loading, heavier equipment was positioned lower and the overall center of gravity was kept stable. Anti-slip mats were placed between the cargo and trailer, air bags were used to limit movement, and ratchet straps secured the equipment at key points.
Rather than treating inland transport as a separate step, Dane includes it as part of the complete shipment process. Before departure, the driver signs the loading confirmation document, while photographs are taken to record the loading and sealing condition.
This provides a clear record of the equipment condition from the moment it leaves the factory.

Container Space Planned in Advance
A complete underpad production line contains multiple large machine sections, making container arrangement an important part of shipment preparation.
Before loading, Dane carries out a 3D loading simulation to determine how the equipment should be arranged inside the container. This allows the team to confirm the position of major sections in advance and make more efficient use of the available loading space.
For this shipment, the equipment was loaded into a 45G1 high-cube container with a capacity of 76.4 CBM and a maximum payload of 28,600 kg. The planned loading rate exceeded 85%.
The container number and customs seal number are also recorded in the shipping documents, maintaining traceability throughout the transportation process.

Tested Before Shipment, Checked Again After Arrival
Shipment preparation begins only after the production line has completed its factory testing.
Before delivery, this underpad production line underwent at least 72 hours of continuous operation testing. The test covered station synchronization, electrical interlocks, pneumatic system sealing and servo positioning accuracy to confirm the operation of the complete line.
Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) documentation is completed before shipment. Customers may also witness the testing remotely by live video or arrange an independent third-party inspection at the Dane factory.
After arrival, the customer can verify the container seal before unloading. Dane engineers can then support installation, commissioning and operator training, followed by Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) at the customer's facility.
More Than a Shipment
For Dane, the delivery of a production line is not simply the final step after manufacturing. The way equipment is tested, protected, loaded and documented directly affects how smoothly it can move from the factory to installation and production at the customer's site.
Dane Machinery focuses on complete production lines for disposable hygiene products, including baby diapers, adult diapers, sanitary napkins and underpads. From line configuration and manufacturing to factory testing, shipment preparation, installation and commissioning, our team works to provide customers with a more reliable path from equipment purchase to actual production.
